A memorial fund has been established to honor former Independence Township Park and Recreation Director Tim Doyle who lost a nine-year battle with ALS Lou Gehrig’s Disease in October, 2009. The Timothy J. Doyle Memorial Fund will be used to provide matching grants to support local community efforts to purchase adaptive equipment, build recreation venues and provide accessible programs for people of all ages and abilities throughout the state of Michigan.
